A lawsuit filed in California federal court alleges that CreditRepair.Com, Inc. placed unwanted telemarketing calls to a consumer on a daily basis.
According to the proposed class action, the plaintiff—who the case says had no prior business relationship with the defendant—began receiving unsolicited promotional calls from the company in 2015. Specifically, the plaintiff claims she received dozens of calls, often daily, over a year-long period. The woman alleges she requested to be taken off the company’s call list several times yet continued to be contacted. The complaint points out that the plaintiff’s number has been listed in the national Do Not Call registry for years preceding the defendant’s solicitations.
