Wisconsin
Credit Corp Solutions Inc. (which does business as Tasman Credit Corp) is on the receiving end of a proposed class action lawsuit accusing it of falsely claiming to be a licensed debt collection agency in the state of Wisconsin. According to the complaint, the plaintiff in the case received a collection letter in October 2017 that stated the following:
“This collection agency is licensed by the Division of Banking in the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions, www.wdfi.org.”
The suit claims the defendant’s Wisconsin collection agency license expired on April 11, 2017 and that its statement in the letter was therefore false.
