Filed: April 24, 2017 ◆§ 1:17-cv-00578-LJO-SKO
A California consumer has filed a proposed class action against Credit Corp Solutions Inc., claiming the debt collector misled her with 'ominous and vague statements.'
A California consumer has filed a proposed class action against Credit Corp Solutions Inc., claiming the debt collector misled her with “ominous and vague statements.” She says she received a collection letter from the defendant stating that her alleged debt was “eligible to be referred to an attorney,” but also informing her that Credit Corp Solutions is not an attorney. The suit argues that the defendant misrepresented the legal status of the alleged debt and the actions that could or would be taken to collect it, in an attempt to induce the plaintiff into paying off the debt. As a result, she claims she felt “deceived, anxious, and harassed.”
