Credit Bureau Collection Services, Inc. (CBCS) is facing a proposed class action that alleges it sent allegedly unlawful debt collection notices.
Wisconsin
Credit Bureau Collection Services, Inc. (CBCS) is facing a proposed class action that alleges it failed to clearly state in a collection notice the exact debt it was attempting to collect. Instead of clearly listing the debt that was owed, the defendant listed a service date that is “confusing, misleading and false” to the plaintiff, i.e. the unsophisticated consumer, according to the complaint. The lawsuit alleges the defendant’s conduct violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
