Homeside Financial, LLC has been hit with a proposed class action lawsuit by a Maryland consumer who claims the defendant placed illegal telemarketing robocalls to his cell phone without his prior consent. The plaintiff says the calls were an attempt to market Homeside’s mortgage refinancing services and that they were unlawfully placed using an automated dialing system. According to the suit, the plaintiff complained to the defendant about the calls and was told that they were a response to an online form that the plaintiff filled out. The man argues that he “has never been to this website or filled out such a form.”
