Park v. Suttell & Hammer, P.C.
Filed: September 24, 2018 ◆§ 2:18cv1407
A lawsuit alleges Suttell & Hammer sent a letter that contained false representations concerning potential attorney involvement in the collection process.
Suttell & Hammer, P.C. is on the receiving end of a proposed class action lawsuit alleging the company sent to a consumer a letter that contained false representations concerning potential attorney involvement in the collection process.
The plaintiff claims that the defendant identified itself in the September 2017 collection letter as “Suttel & Hammer, Attorneys at Law,” which falsely implied that there was “meaningful attorney involvement in the collection” of his debt. According to the case, no attorney employed by the company “had any meaningful involvement in the day-to-day collection” of the obligation.
“The least sophisticated consumer would likely be deceived in a material way by Defendant’s conduct,” the complaint states.
