Filed: June 7, 2017 ◆§ 8:17-cv-00977
A proposed class action lawsuit cites alleged Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) violations against Royal Seas Cruises, Inc.
A proposed class action lawsuit citing alleged Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) violations claims Royal Seas Cruises, Inc. impermissibly recorded phone calls with California residents in violation of state and federal law.
The plaintiff claims that the defendant began contacting his cell phone, via an automatic dialing system, in or around May 2017 as part of its lead generation efforts. Throughout the numerous calls the case says the plaintiff received from the defendant, the plaintiff argues at no point did Royal Seas Cruises obtain his consent to be recorded or otherwise inform him that the communications were being recorded.
