A group of four attorneys is facing a Wisconsin woman’s proposed class action that claims they unlawfully published a copy of her credit score in public court documents without a permissible reason. The suit alleges that the defendants filed an action against the plaintiff to collect a supposedly unpaid debt and included in the submitted documentation a copy of her credit card statement without redacting her credit score. The plaintiff argues that her private information should have been protected and that the defendants had no reason to display it publicly.
