A Florida woman claims in a proposed class action lawsuit that she received numerous unsolicited text messages from Tilly’s, Inc. in violation of the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). The plaintiff claims that despite never providing the defendant with her number, she received a text message to her cell phone from Tilly’s offering a sale on a purchase she had made. Upon information and belief, the plaintiff alleges the message was sent by an automatic telephone dialing system, an act prohibited by the TCPA, to consumers en masse.
