Filed: September 19, 2018 ◆§ 1:18cv23854
A Florida consumer claims in a proposed class action that Teleclaro sent him dozens of unsolicited telemarketing text messages in violation of the TCPA.
A Florida consumer claims in a proposed class action that Teleclaro, LLC sent him dozens of unsolicited telemarketing text messages in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
The defendant—a company that sells international telephone services—purportedly sent at least 25 texts advertising its services to the plaintiff without obtaining the man’s prior express written consent. The suit notes that Callture, a company that specializes in automatic telephone dialing system software, was contracted by the defendant to send the allegedly unlawful messages.
“Upon information and belief, preceding this lawsuit, Defendant has sent at least one-hundred thousand illegal text messages over the last four years to members of the proposed classes,” the complaint reads.
