Another day, another proposed class action filed against Premier Nutrition Corporation, the makers of Joint Juice.
Another day, another proposed class action filed against Premier Nutrition Corporation, the makers of Joint Juice, alleging its popular product provides consumers no health benefits. According to the 24-page lawsuit, the defendant promises through extensive advertising and marketing of Joint Juice that the daily drink “helps keep cartilage lubricated and flexible” thanks to its glucosamine hydrocholoride ingredient. The complaint asserts that the contrary is true, that Joint Juice’s advertising misleads consumers and induces them to buy a product whose purported benefits are touted in fabricated expert stories.
The lawsuit cites the result of numerous studies that seem to back up the plaintiff and proposed class members’ claims that the defendant was aware of yet did not disclose that Joint Juice does not provide any of its represented health benefits.
