Gilt Groupe Holdings, Inc. is the defendant in a proposed class action that claims the clothing retailer’s website is not compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) due to alleged accessibility barriers. The plaintiff, a blind woman, claims Gilt.com contains “hundreds of access barriers” that make the site “difficult if not impossible” for blind and visually disabled individuals to use.
The plaintiff claims she was unable to independently navigate, browse, use or complete transactions on the defendant’s website.
