Samsung is facing another class action over its now-infamous Galaxy Note7 smartphone. Filed in New Jersey, the 20-page complaint alleges Samsung owes consumers millions as a result of failing to provide, in a timely fashion, safe replacement phones free from the overheating and fire problems that affected the first batch of Galaxy Note7s. After Samsung announced a recall for the phones on September 2 and told consumers they could begin exchanging their phones for new ones on September 9, the suit says, replacement Note7s were not available. Many reportedly had to wait three weeks or more for Note7s to be available for exchange, all while consumers continued to rack up monthly cell plan charges.
