Consumers in New York have filed a class action against General Motors alleging the company’s fuel economy claims for certain vehicles fell a few notches short than what was advertised. The lawsuit says 2007 to 2016 model year Chevrolet Traverses, Buick Enclaves, GMC Acadias and Saturn Outlooks were marketed and sold as getting up to 17 miles per gallon (mpg) in city conditions and 24 mpg for highway driving. In reality, the plaintiffs allege, these vehicles are EPA-rated at 15 mpg in city driving and 22 mpg on the highway.
