Golubchik v. Certified Credit & Collection Bureau et al
Filed: November 13, 2018 ◆§ 2:18cv16114
A proposed class action alleges that Certified Credit & Collection Bureau sent a letter to a consumer that misstated his debt dispute rights.
New Jersey
A proposed class action out of New Jersey federal court alleges that Certified Credit & Collection Bureau sent to a consumer a letter that failed to properly state the man’s debt dispute rights.
In September 2018, the plaintiff received a notice from the defendant regarding a medical debt, the suit says. The case argues the letter falsely communicated how the man could effectively dispute the debt “by leaving out the requirement that a consumer must dispute in writing.” The suit charges the defendant’s “false statements” and omissions resulted in the plaintiff waiving his rights.
