A proposed class action has been filed against three realty companies over unwanted fax advertisements.
Realty Executives International, Inc. Realty Executives of New York Realty Executives Today

Realty Executives International, Inc., Realty Executives of New York, Realty Executives Today, and an individual with control of the businesses are defendants in a proposed class action lawsuit that claims the parties sent thousands of unsolicited fax advertisements to at least 40 people. The case alleges that the real estate companies violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act by sending unwanted advertisements without an opt-out notice. Unwanted fax advertisements are costly and interfere with the private use of fax machines, the case says. The plaintiff seeks compensation for damages including invasion of privacy and loss of the paper and ink used to print the advertisements.
