The Citibank class action settlement, which was preliminarily approved by the court on August 7, 2024, covers anyone who received a call with an artificial or prerecorded voice from Citibank on their cell phone between August 15, 2014 and July 31, 2024 concerning a past-due credit card account and was not a current or former Citibank cardholder, customer or authorized user.
To receive a share of the $29.5 million settlement fund, class members must file a claim form by mail or through the official Citibank robocall settlement website—http://HeadTCPASettlement.com. The deadline to file a claim is December 20, 2024.
You can submit a claim form online on this page. If applicable, enter the claim ID number and PIN found in the personalized settlement notice you may have received in the mail.

According to the site, class members who file a timely, valid claim form can receive a payment estimated to range from $350 to $850 each, depending on the number of valid claims submitted.
Payments will be sent to class members no later than 45 days after the judgment in the lawsuit becomes final, the site says. However, the distribution will be delayed if there is an appeal of the settlement. A final approval hearing is scheduled for January 14, 2025.
The class action lawsuit against Citibank claimed the company violated consumers’ privacy rights under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, a federal law that prohibits businesses from placing phone calls using an automatic telephone dialing system without first securing a recipient’s express written consent to be contacted.
