Central Credit Services Facing More Debt Collection Litigation

Rademacher v. Central Credit Services LLC
Filed: November 10, 2017 ◆§ 2:17-cv-06491
Another day, another proposed class action against Central Credit Services for supposed debt collection law violations.
New York
Central Credit Services LLC finds itself as the defendant in another lawsuit filed over supposed Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDPCA) violations. The plaintiff, a Nassau County, New York, resident, claims the company mailed her a collection notice in which it stated his “amount due now” and total balance, yet left out other information necessary for the woman to know how much she would need to pay to resolve her obligation at any given point in the future. The case argues the notice, from the perspective of the least sophisticated consumer, omits how much of the balance is principal, how much is attributable to interest, and how much is attributable to late fees and other charges.
