Pennsylvania
Staffing agency Career Advantage is on the receiving end of a proposed class action filed over claims that the company violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) by sending unsolicited fax advertisements to the plaintiff and more than 39 other recipients.
Behind the suit is an Ohio-based insurance company that claims it received an unauthorized promotional fax from the agency in June 2018. The plaintiff claims it “did not invite or give permission to anyone to send [the fax].” Additionally, the suit alleges the communication did not contain a proper opt-out notice as required by federal law.
