Neumeyer v. Capital Alliance Group et al
Filed: April 23, 2018 ◆§ 3:18cv759
The plaintiff claims Capital Alliance Group attempted to market its business loan services over the phone without first receiving consent to call.
Capital Alliance Group is in the crosshairs of a proposed class action in which the plaintiff claims the company unlawfully placed calls to consumers’ cell phones without consent. Filed in California, the complaint states the defendant called the plaintiff’s cell phone in November 2017 in an attempt to market its business loan services. The lawsuit says Capital Alliance Group placed the call through an automatic telephone dialing system despite never receiving prior express consent to contact the plaintiff.
The case, citing suspected Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) abuses, alleges the defendant placed numerous solicitation calls to the plaintiff within a 12-month period.
