A proposed class action lawsuit has been filed against Stribling & Associates Ltd. by a blind man who claims the defendant’s website – www.stribling.com – discriminates against the visually impaired. According to the suit, the site relies on a strictly visual interface and is incompatible with the screen-reading software used by blind internet users to navigate websites and interpret their content. As a result, the plaintiff alleges, the blind population cannot fully access the defendant’s online goods and services, including information about its real estate offices’ locations and hours, its agents, properties for sale and for rent, and new developments.
