Gomez v. The Quizno’s Master, LLC
Filed: August 8, 2017 ◆§ 1:17-cv-22998-FAM
A proposed class action out of FL alleges Quiznos.com discriminates against blind and hard-of-sight Internet users in violation of the ADA.
The Quizno’s Master, LLC, the company that operates Quiznos.com, is the defendant in a Florida man’s proposed class action that alleges the site is unlawfully inaccessible to blind consumers. The plaintiff claims he and many other blind internet users cannot navigate websites without the help of screen reading software that reads aloud the information on screen. The case alleges Quiznos.com is not compatible with this commonly used software, and that the accessibility barriers have even deterred the plaintiff from visiting Quizno’s brick-and-mortar restaurants.
