Last Updated on May 8, 2018
Kline et al v. Bitconnect et al
Filed: February 7, 2018 ◆§ 8:18cv319
BitConnect faces another proposed class action claiming the cryptocurrency platform was no more than a Ponzi scheme through millions were stolen.
Florida
Four plaintiffs are the latest consumers to file a proposed class action against shuttered cryptocurrency exchange and lending platform BitConnect over suspected violations of federal securities law. The complaint, which also names as defendants two of BitConnect’s top employees, a YouTube/Facebook recruiter, and three subsidiaries, rings similar to previous cases filed against Bitconnect, in that it alleges thousands of BitConnect Coin investors fell for the company’s false promises before falling victim to the alleged Ponzi scheme.
