Baked by Melissa, LLC is facing a proposed class action out of New York that alleges its website www.bakedbymelissa.com is not fully accessible to and independently usable by blind or visually impaired people. The suit is seeking a permanent injunction requiring the defendant to hire a qualified consultant to bring the website into compliance. The plaintiff and other blind and visually impaired people, if the website was made accessible, the lawsuit claims, could view service items, find bakeries and hours of operation, shop products and make reservations.
