Auto Insurance Specialists, LLC is the defendant in a proposed class action out of California alleging it used automatic telephone dialing technology to send unwanted—and unlawful—text messages to consumers’ cell phones. The plaintiff, alleging violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), claims she began receiving texts marketing the defendant’s services in early July 2017 even though she never provided prior express consent to receive any messages.
