AmeriFinancial Solutions, LLC is facing a class action lawsuit claiming the debt collection agency violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) by using automated dialing equipment to aggressively harass consumers about debts. Filed in Florida, the lawsuit claims the defendant, which specializes in collecting delinquent healthcare debts, placed calls to consumers using auto-dialing technology without first receiving express consent. The plaintiff says an unauthorized third party provided his number as an emergency contact on a patient intake form used by one of the defendant’s clients. The plaintiff claims he never owed any debt to the defendant.
