Meza v. American Express Company
Filed: December 12, 2017 ◆§ 3:17cv2492
A California resident claims American Express robocalled his cell phone despite having never provided the company with his number nor consent.
A California resident has filed a proposed class action case against American Express Company over alleged violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). The plaintiff, who, the case says, never provided American Express with his cell phone number, claims the company used TCPA-prohibited automatic dialing technology to call his cell phone in early November 2017. The marketing call featured an artificial or prerecorded voice stating American Express had an offer for cardholders, the complaint says.
