A Georgia woman has filed a proposed class action lawsuit against Alltran Financial, LP alleging that the debt collector violated federal law by autodialing her cell phone in an attempt to collect on a debt she did not owe.

A Georgia woman has filed a proposed class action lawsuit against Alltran Financial, LP alleging that the debt collector violated federal law by autodialing her cell phone in an attempt to collect on a debt she did not owe. The plaintiff says she informed the defendant on several occasions that she was not the person it was attempting to contact, but that the calls continued despite her revoked consent. The suit claims Alltran’s conduct violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
