Sprei v. Alltran Financial, LP
Filed: October 17, 2018 ◆§ 1:18cv5818
Alltran Financial is on the receiving end of a lawsuit filed over a collection letter that allegedly contained false implications.
Alltran Financial, LP is on the receiving end of a proposed class action filed over a collection letter that allegedly contained false implications in reference to the plaintiff’s future creditworthiness.
The suit takes issue with a January 2018 letter regarding an outstanding balance owed by the plaintiff to Chase Bank. According to the suit, the letter stated that Chase may offer the plaintiff “less favorable terms” in the future for some products and services should she accept a settlement offer rather than pay the debt in full. The case alleges this warning was false in that paying the full amount of debt “would not have enhanced her likelihood of obtaining Chase credit products” or improve her creditworthiness.
