A class action lawsuit filed in New York claims Rosewood Hotels and Resorts’ website creates accessibility barriers for disabled individuals in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Filed by a legally blind New York resident, the lawsuit claims Rosewoodhotel.com contains numerous accessibility barriers that make it unnecessarily difficult for blind customers to use. Many blind individuals, the case claims, need to utilize assistive technology (such as screen reading software and special keyboards) to navigate online, but are unable to do so on the defendant’s site due to unlawful accessibility barriers.
