The official website for the One World Observatory class action settlement is live and can be found at OneWorldTicketFeeSettlement.com.
The deal with Legends OWO, LLC, which was preliminarily approved by the court on November 6, 2024, covers anyone in the United States who bought electronic tickets to the One World Observatory—located on floors 100-102 of One World Trade Center—from OneWorldObservatory.com and paid a processing fee in connection with the purchase at any time between August 29, 2022 and November 6, 2024.
To receive a pro-rated share of the $975,000 settlement fund, eligible class members must submit a valid claim form online or by mail by April 21, 2025.
According to the settlement website, individual payout amounts will be based on how much a consumer paid in fees.
To file a One World Observatory claim form online, head to this page. You can also download a PDF claim form to print and return by mail.
In order to submit a claim form, you will need to provide the Unique ID and PIN located on the settlement notice you should have received via email. If you did not receive a notice or lost yours, you can contact the settlement administrator, the site says.
As part of the deal, the website relays, Legends OWO has altered the purchase flow on its website to display the processing fee in the total price of tickets in a manner that complies with the New York Arts and Cultural Affairs Law, the state law which the class action lawsuit claimed the company had violated.
The court will determine whether to grant final approval to the terms of the One World Observatory settlement at a hearing scheduled for March 7, 2025 in New York. If the court ultimately approves the deal, and after any appeals are resolved, settlement payouts will be issued to eligible class members within 90 days of the date the deal goes into effect, the site states.
