The court-approved website for the deal can be found at HorizonTreadmillSettlement.com.
The class action settlement covers all United States residents who purchased a Horizon treadmill between June 9, 2018, and November 9, 2020, primarily for personal, family or household purposes and not for resale.
Eligible class members must submit a valid claim form by April 30, 2025 to receive settlement benefits.
To file a claim form online, head to this page. You will need to provide your unique ID and PIN, which are located on the personalized settlement notice you should have received in an email or postcard.
If you did not receive a settlement notice but believe you are included in the Horizon Fitness settlement, you may still be able to file a claim form. Enter your treadmill’s serial number on this page to check your eligibility. The serial number is located on the back cover of your treadmill’s console. Consult this diagram for more specific information about where you can find this number.
Class members may also download and mail in a PDF claim form if they so choose.

Covered consumers who submit timely, valid claim forms can receive a share of the $600,000 settlement fund. The amount of each settlement payment will depend on how many people file claims, among other factors, and is estimated to exceed $15, court documents say.
In addition, class members can get either a treadmill maintenance package or a tablet stand and a two-month subscription to the mobile version of the JRNY Digital Fitness Platform. According to the settlement website, each of these benefits is valued at $50.
The deal was preliminarily approved by the court on December 12, 2024. The settlement wraps up a class action lawsuit against Johnson Health Tech that alleged its Horizon Fitness treadmills run “well below” the advertised continuous horsepower (CHP) of between 2.5 and 4.0.
The court will determine whether to grant final approval to the Horizon Fitness treadmill class action settlement at a hearing on July 14, 2025. Settlement benefits will be issued to eligible class members only after the deal receives final approval and any appeals are resolved or the time for appeals expires.
