Class members can elect to receive their pro-rated settlement payment in the form of a check or by PayPal, Zelle or Venmo. Checks will expire and become void 180 days after they are issued, the settlement site states.

The initial class action lawsuit against Atom Tickets accused the movie ticket seller of violating New York’s Arts and Cultural Affairs Law, a state law that requires entities that operate a “place of entertainment” to disclose the total cost of a ticket, including any fees, before it is selected for purchase. As part of the settlement, Atom Tickets has agreed to change the purchase flow for tickets to New York theaters on its website and app to comply with state law.
