Class members who file a timely, valid claim form can get reimbursement for documented, out-of-pocket expenses incurred as a result of the data breach. Claims for documented losses will be subject to an aggregate cap of $100,000, court documents say.
In addition to reimbursement for documented out-of-pocket losses, class members can choose to receive one of the following benefits: two years of credit and identity monitoring services, a one-time credit of up to $50 for purchases on Hanes.com, including free shipping, or a cash payment of $35.
The HanesBrands settlement received preliminary approval from the court in November 2024. The court will hold a final approval hearing on March 10, 2025 to determine whether to grant final approval to the settlement.
“Payments or other benefits will be distributed after the Court grants final approval of the settlement and any appeals are resolved,” the settlement site reads. “This process may take several months.”
