360 Digital Marketing, LLC is on the receiving end of a proposed class action lawsuit filed by a Georgia woman who claims the defendant sent her illegal text message advertisements. The suit alleges the defendant uses automated dialing technology to send advertisements to consumers’ cell phones without their prior consent. The plaintiff says she received the following text from the company:
“Become A NewYork Times Best Seller, Hire Expert Book Writers at 85% Off. Click here bookwriters.us to Activate Your Coupon Now. Reply STOPRM to STOP.”
She allegedly replied “Stop” to the text and then received another message informing her that she had unsubscribed from the defendant’s services. She claims both texts were sent in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and violated her privacy.
