The court-authorized website for the Regal Cinemas class action settlement can be found at RegalTicketFeeSettlement.com.
The $2,500,000 million deal, which was granted final approval by the court on March 6, 2025, covers all United States residents who purchased electronic tickets to any film screening in any Regal Cinemas theater in New York from RegMovies.com between July 31, 2023 and July 15, 2024 using the guest checkout process.
Eligible class members must file a valid claim form online or by mail by April 21, 2025 to receive a pro-rated share of the Regal Cinemas ticket fee settlement. According to the settlement agreement, individual cash payments will be based on the total amount of fees each consumer paid.
Class members can submit a Regal Cinemas settlement claim form online on this page or download a PDF claim form to print, complete and return by mail to the settlement administrator.
Consumers will need their unique ID to file a claim, which can be found on the personalized settlement notice issued to them via email.
As part of the deal, which resolves the Regal Cinemas class action lawsuit, the company will maintain the purchase flows for movie tickets to New York theaters on its website in a manner that clearly discloses a ticket’s total cost, including a booking fee, before the ticket is selected for purchase, the website says. The company has agreed to comply with the requirements established under the New York Arts and Cultural Affairs Law unless and until the statute is amended, repealed or otherwise invalidated, the site relays.
A final approval hearing was held on March 5, 2025. Per the website, now that the court has granted ultimate approval to the terms of the deal, eligible class members whose claims are approved by the settlement administrator can expect to receive a cash payout 28 days after March 19, 2025.
