Chipotle Reaches Settlements with Food Illness Victims

Nissan Recalls Vehicles Over Flammable Fluid Leaks
Nissan will be recalling 120,000 vehicles over potentially leaky (and flammable) brake systems, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announcement. The recall affects 2016-2017 Maximas, 2015-2017 Murano crossovers and 2015-2016 Murano hybrids. Reportedly, the vehicles’ anti-lock brake systems have the potential to leak brake fluid onto an internal circuit board – which could cause it to catch fire. Nissan announced that it will fix the affected vehicles at no cost to the owners.
Goya Canned Octopus Suit Trimmed
The proposed class action claiming that Goya falsely marketed its canned octopus has had a few of its allegations trimmed. Judge Lucy Koh determined that the lawsuit can’t back up several of the plaintiff’s fraud claims, but it can still assert that Goya mislabeled its octopus products by using jumbo squid as a cheaper alternative.

The suit also claims that the workers aren’t given accurate payroll statements.
