The Minnesota Timberwolves NBA team has been hit with a class action claiming that its new paperless ticketing method illegally fixes ticket prices and makes the tickets almost impossible to resell. According to the lawsuit, Timberwolves tickets have to be resold at a required minimum price through the digital ticketing method – and the mandatory price is set at 75 percent higher than the tickets’ value. The plaintiffs claim that because they can’t resell their tickets at fair market prices, they’re worth significantly less than what they paid for them.
