Jiffy Lube is facing a proposed class action claiming it violated the Fair Labor Standards Act, as well as Pennsylvania wage laws. The lawsuit alleges that the auto repair shop violated federal wage and hour laws by requiring employees to clock out when they weren’t helping customers while at work. Reportedly, company policy says that there is no reason to pay employees if there are no cars present at the shop. The plaintiff goes on to say that Jiffy Lube failed to pay the proper minimum wage, overtime and gap time pay.
