Am I covered by the Rodan + Fields Lash Boost settlement?
According to the official settlement website (yes, the site is legit), the $38 million cash-and-credit deal covers all consumers who bought Rodan + Fields’ Lash Boost product for personal, family or household use between October 1, 2016 and March 11, 2022 and who have not already returned the product to the company and received a refund.
How do I file a claim?
File your claim online by heading to this page. First, you will have to enter your 10-digit unique settlement ID number (learn more about what that is here) before filling out the rest of the form with your basic contact information. You will also be asked whether you have purchased one or more tubes of Lash Boost.

For more detailed instructions on how to file a claim, head to this page. A printable PDF version of the claim form, which can be mailed to the settlement administrator, can be found here.
When do I have to file a claim by?
All claims must be filed online or postmarked by September 7, 2022.
What if I do nothing?
If you do nothing, you will receive no benefits from the settlement. According to the settlement website, doing nothing also means you are giving up your right to object to the deal, and you will not be able to be a part of any future lawsuits about the allegations the settlement resolves.
What benefits does the settlement provide?
If the settlement is ultimately approved by the court, Rodan + Fields customers who submit valid, timely claims will be able to receive either a credit voucher toward the purchase of any R+F product or a cash payment.
Per the website, a consumer who submits a claim for one tube of Lash Boost can receive a maximum credit benefit of $250. The maximum cash amount a consumer who bought one tube of Lash Boost can receive, via check or electronically, is $175. Consumers who elect the check option have six months from the date the check is issued to cash it.
Customers who submit valid proof of purchase to show that they bought more than one Lash Boost product may also receive an additional credit of up to $250 or up to $175 in cash. This means that customers who show proof that they made more than one Lash Boost purchase may receive a maximum total benefit of $500 in credit or $350 in cash.
Of the $38 million total settlement amount, $8 million will be reserved for the credit portion of the deal, and the remaining $30 million will be used for cash payments and all administrative expenses, including attorneys’ fees. The settlement site stresses that the actual amount of credit or cash a consumer might receive is currently unknown—and may be considerably less than the maximum—because the amounts depend in large part on the number of people who submit valid claims and how much of the fund will be needed for legal expenses and settlement administration costs.
But there’s still more.
There’s more?
In addition to the cash-and-credit portion of the settlement, Rodan + Fields has also agreed to revise the Lash Boost label to include certain alleged side effects that have been reported by some users. The company will also provide expanded cautionary instructions on how to use Lash Boost and will change how it advertises the product online and in resource materials used to train R+F consultants.
Where can I find my unique settlement ID number? Can ClassAction.org give it to me?

Where did this settlement come from?
The settlement, which received preliminary approval from San Francisco County Superior Court Judge Ethan P. Schulman on March 8, 2022, resolves three proposed class action lawsuits that alleged Rodan + Fields failed to disclose certain information about its Lash Boost product, including the potential side effects and risks of the ingredient isopropyl cloprostenate.
The suits also alleged Rodan + Fields essentially sold Lash Boost as an unapproved, adulterated and misbranded drug.
The settlement website states that R+F denies the allegations in the lawsuits and wrongdoing of any kind and contends that Lash Boost is safe when used in accordance with its label. The court has not decided in favor of the company or the plaintiffs, and the parties have settled the claims to avoid the future costs and risks associated with continued litigation.
Is my check in the mail?
Your check—or electronic payment or credit vouchers—will likely be on the way sometime this fall.
According to the settlement website, a hearing on final approval of the deal is slated for September 14, 2022. If the court approves the settlement, and if there are no appeals that need to be resolved, benefits from the settlement should be distributed to consumers within 60 days of the deal taking effect.
