Bank of America was hit with a proposed class action in Arizona federal court alleging violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act. The plaintiff, a call center employee, claims that Bank of America required employees to work before and after their scheduled shifts without overtime. The lawsuit estimates that each employee worked between 15 and 20 extra minutes without pay to complete required tasks; failure to do so resulted in disciplinary action. According to the suit, call center managers were aware of employees working outside of their regular shifts and made no effort to stop the work or compensate the workers.
