Ramos v. Hopele of Fort Lauderdale, LLC et al.
Filed: October 26, 2017 ◆§ 0:17-cv-62100-FAM
Hopele of Fort Lauderdale, LLC (which does business as Pandora @ Galleria) and Pandora Jewelry, LLC are facing claims that they unlawfully sent unsolicited text message advertisements to consumers’ cell phones.
Florida
Hopele of Fort Lauderdale, LLC (which does business as Pandora @ Galleria) and Pandora Jewelry, LLC are facing claims that they violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) by sending unsolicited text message advertisements to consumers’ cell phones. The plaintiff says she received two messages from the defendants despite never having provided her consent to receive the texts. She suspects that the companies have used automated dialing technology to send thousands of similar text advertisements, in alleged violation of the TCPA. “Through this action,” the suit declares, “[the plaintiff] seeks injunctive relief to halt Pandora’s illegal conduct which has resulted in the invasion of privacy, harassment, aggravation, and disruption of the daily lives of thousands of individuals.”
