Ovation Credit Services, Inc. is staring down a proposed class action filed over the company’s alleged practice of contacting consumers’ cell phones without consent.
Citing potential Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) abuses, the complaint, filed in Florida by two named plaintiffs, alleges the defendant utilized an automatic telephone dialing system to place unauthorized calls advertising its services. The plaintiffs claim they received solicitation calls in May and June 2017 despite the absence of any consent and their numbers’ inclusion in the National Do Not Call registry.
