Georgia
Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company finds itself facing a proposed class action lawsuit after allegedly using autodialing technology to place illegal telemarketing calls to consumers’ cell phones without their prior consent. The plaintiff says he received at least four calls from the defendant attempting to solicit his business despite never giving the insurance company permission to contact him on his cell phone. The man claims the calls invaded his privacy, “wasted his time,” and wrongfully “occupied his telephone line from legitimate communications.”
