Client Services, Inc. is on the receiving end of a proposed class action lawsuit that alleges the debt collector unlawfully placed autodialed calls to a consumer’s cell phone without her consent and despite her direct request that it not call her.
According to the complaint, the defendant was attempting to collect a debt the plaintiff purportedly owed, and her attorney allegedly demanded that the company “cease and desist any direct communication with [the plaintiff]” on December 16, 2016. Nevertheless, the suit claims, the defendant placed at least three more calls to the plaintiff’s cell phone using an automated dialing service and in alleged violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
