The deal covers anyone in the United States who, between June 1, 2017 and November 23, 2022, used WorkitHealth.com or the platform’s app to search for medical information, services or physicians; fill out forms; schedule appointments; sign up for membership; register for programs or support groups; or pay for medical services.
To be eligible to receive a Workit Health settlement payout, class members must submit a valid claim form by December 23, 2024.
You can file a claim form online on this page, or you may download a PDF claim form to print and return by mail. If you wish to submit a claim online, you will be asked to provide your settlement Claim ID, which is located on the personalized notice you may have received via mail or email.
According to the website, class members who file a valid, timely claim will be eligible to receive a pro-rated cash payout from what remains of the settlement fund after the payment of associated attorneys’ fees, costs, service awards and administration fees.
The Workit Health settlement was preliminarily approved by the court on September 7, 2024. The parties now await a hearing on February 6, 2025, at which the court will decide whether to grant final approval to the terms of the deal.
Per the site, eligible class members will receive settlement payouts only if the deal is ultimately approved and after any appeals are resolved.
The lawsuit against Workit Health alleged that the platform transmitted sensitive consumer information through embedded tracking tools provided by Google, Facebook and other third parties without users’ knowledge or consent. The company’s data-sharing practices violated federal and state privacy laws, the class action suit charged.
