Young Life Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Young Life data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Young Life, an evangelical Christian organization based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, recently disclosed a data breach affecting 51,226 individuals, including current and former employees, their dependents, and certain volunteers. On June 14, 2024, the organization detected suspicious activity on its computer network and determined that malware may have facilitated unauthorized access to certain files between June 13 and June 14, 2024.
According to a report posted on the Texas Attorney General's website, the potentially exposed personal information includes individuals' names, Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, financial details, and sensitive medical and health insurance information.
Individuals affected by the Young Life data breach are receiving mailed notice of the incident.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Young Life to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
