Young Consulting Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Young Consulting data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Young Consulting, LLC recently experienced a data breach impacting the personal information of 954,177 individuals. The unauthorized access occurred between April 10 and April 13, 2024, when a hacker infiltrated Young Consulting’s network and downloaded certain files. Upon discovering technical difficulties on April 13, 2024, the company took systems offline to contain the breach and initiated an investigation with a cybersecurity forensics firm to identify whose information may have been affected. The investigation revealed that Blue Shield of California, to which Young Consulting provided risk management services, was one of the affected data owners.
The information compromised in the Young Consulting data breach varies by individual but may include names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, and insurance claim details. Young Consulting is now notifying affected individuals on behalf of Blue Shield.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Young Consulting to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
