Yes Communities Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Yes Communities data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Yes Communities, a real estate investment trust specializing in manufactured housing communities, recently discovered a security breach within its network. The company found that the unauthorized access occurred between December 9 and December 11, 2024, during which certain files were copied. Following the data breach, Yes Communities initiated an investigation to assess the extent of the unauthorized access and to verify the security of its network. By January 9, 2025, the company concluded its review of the compromised data to ascertain the type of information affected and the individuals involved.
Information exposed in the incident reportedly includes names, Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers and financial account information. A report submitted to the Texas Attorney General's Office about the Yes Communities data breach states that addresses may have also been exposed.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Yes Communities to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
