Warren General Hospital Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Warren General Hospital data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
On November 9, 2023, Warren General Hospital (WGH) issued an online notice regarding a recent data security breach that could have compromised the confidentiality of certain current and former patients’ and employees’ information. The breach was identified on September 24, 2023, after the Pennsylvania hospital detected suspicious activity on its network.
With the assistance of cybersecurity specialists, WGH determined that an unidentified individual accessed specific computer systems between September 15 and September 23, 2023, and downloaded certain information.
The compromised data may include personal details like names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, financial account information, payment card information, health insurance claims information and medical information such as diagnoses, medications, lab results and treatment details. The specific types of information varied for each affected individual.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Warren General Hospital to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
